Hmm. I've never really been I fan of audio books because I love to read so much. They seem to me like the lazy way to read a book. I don't particularly like the voice of the person reading either.

Yeah, I find it weird listening to books. Especially when the voice of the reader isn't the same as the character's voice you may have pictured.

It bothers me how commericial books and reading have become before you would go to the library to get books, then people got them from local stores, then people got them from supermassive black hole sized chains, then there where audio books , and now people are buying kindles or whatever to read books.

P.S Why would you want to look at a scrren to read a book when people are frying there eyeballs withcomputer screens and TV

I grew up with books. Almost every room in my house has a bookshelf in it full of books for all ages. I love to read and do so at every opportunity. However, I still derive pleasure from being able to sit in my car and make the six hour drive in between my home and college fly by with a good audio book.
I agree that sometimes the voices are horrible, but don't diss the audio books in general. For long car rides my mother played for us audio books of the Hardy Boys and Hank the Cow Dog. It made all trips go by quickly, for we kids at least.
So while I don't advise getting audio books just because you are lazy, they are very helpful for a number of things.

Ok so is the gospel according to larry a true story??????? Also, is vote for larry a true one and larry and the meaning of life or are you just some liar?

July 11, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterBrittgirl125

Amazing fiction books are not the same thing as lying.

i just think that its weird she said she fell in love

July 13, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterninjagrrl

does it really matter if larry is real or not, its just the ideas that make you think about the way you have lived your life, people make a really big deal if its real or not and its not that important

July 13, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterninjagrrl

The identity of the messenger isn't nearly as important as the message being given.

July 14, 2009 | Unregistered Commenternooneinparticular

exactly, its the ideas that matter, not the person who's behind it all

July 15, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterninjagrrl

I agree the message is important but I still would like to know if it's a true story but the message is moe important. I agree with that

Yeah, I would believe the first story, "The Gospel According to Larry." but those other ones seem far fetched, seeing as you need to be 35 years old to run for president...

I agree with ninjagirl that it doesn't matter if the story is real. And If you've read the books it says that. Because of betagold. And Catfish Monster... They explain that he didn't care if he actually reached presidential status as long as he got his message out and showed people that the government is tricky. He doesn't want us to be scammed by corporate loving rich guys. And he's trying to get us to vote. Keep at it "Larry"!

ok so i want to know was the gospel according to larry true cuz it was so good?

September 22, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterbetagold (haha jk its gaby)

Noone is correct. The whole thing that people liked larry for was his sermons, not always his identity.

Correction in last post. I meant the user noone. I didn't mean everyone was wrong.
P.s. I'm writing under a fake screen name, just for the heck of it.

I like audio books in the car, but i agree they can get a little lazy. I like most of the voices.
